live music stats 2025
I love live music. It is very life affirming and being a part of the local scene has taught me a lot about myself, community, and has acted as a true source of joy for me.
I usually do my gig stat roundups every year on instagram. However, as a part of moving away from that platform, I decided to do it here instead.
My main message is that if you are able to, get involved in your local live music scene. You don't have to spend a lot of money. You can find a genre niche that you're interested in. The local arts and music scenes in most cities are thriving (specifically for me, in wider Australia and Eora/Sydney). The joy of finding music that you connect to on a smaller scale is like nothing else. Seeing artists grow over time is so rewarding. The people you meet along the way is the most special feeling as well - and this is coming from someone who is sometimes shy/socially anxious!
