darsh's life

5 nights of live music

If you know me, you know how much live music is a part of my day to day life. It offers me catharsis. Something I've always wanted to do is go to gigs on for a week (or equivalent) one night after the other - no breaks. Here is how that played out:

Night 1

when: wed, 28 june 2023
who: polyphia
support: omnific
genre: instrumental progressive rock
where: enmore theater
mosh: yes
misc: helped someone find their lost mobile during the mosh, the audience was wild

Night 2

when: thu, 29 june 2023
who: esoteric
support: burden man, illimitable dolar
genre: funeral doom
where: landsdowne
mosh: no
misc: lots of headbanging, missed seeing burden man, met someone who shared how they find solace in this type of music

Night 3

when: fri, 30 june 2023
who: dc cross, jamie hutchings
genre: american primitive, singer-songwriter
where: studio 178
mosh: no
misc: this studio was in someone's home and it was lovely to see artists being able to use spaces like this

Night 4

when: sat, 1 july 2023
who: suneater
support: mountain wizard death cult, oar, foothills
genre: post-metal, doom, sludge
where: vanguard
mosh: no
